Please remember that COHI does not fund second position mortgages or mezzanine financing and lease hold properties.
Hawaiian properties can be refinanced or purchased with COHI funds if the owner does not occupy the property. However, COHI does not fund consumer loans. Raw land is funded on a case by case basis. Please contact COHI to discuss further.
COHI only funds ground-up construction in unique circumstances. We are willing to consider funding the completion of a partially completed project where the original financing does not cover the job and the original lender will not continue funding. In cases like this, COHI would refinance out the original loan amount plus the funds needed to complete the project.
